The 2007 MLS season sees the addition of a new team—Toronto FC. Now that there are 13 teams in the MLS, the scheduling system had to be revised.

First, each MLS team is playing all other MLS teams twice. One game will be at home and the other away. That gets the teams to 24 games. The other six games are against teams in the same conference.

There’s still an odd game out and the scheduling will depend on rivalries. Expect to see matches like the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA an extra time per season.

The LA Galaxy and Chivas USA will go at it four times this season. The Galaxy took the first match 3-1. The final three matches are on: May 20 at Chivas USA, August 23 at LA Galaxy, and September 13 at Chivas USA.
